Corsicana Texas

Corsicana Founded in 1848 by Jose Antonio Navarro and named after Corsica, Corsicana, Texas, is a historic city known as the site of the first commercial oil discovery (1894) west of the Mississippi. It became a major boomtown, housing Texas' first oil refinery, and is famous as the birthplace of Wolf Brand Chili and Collin Street Bakery. Today, Corsicana retains much of its historic character, blending its oil-rich heritage with a focus on tourism, arts, and education
